Hailey Bieber has recently spoken candidly about the major sale of Rhode beauty brand.
The Rhode founder explains concerns about her company and the acquisition of the brand in her latest interview with TIME.
Before the acquisition, Hailey shares her billion-dollar goal for the sale.
“I'm somebody who really believes in, like, what you say out loud is very important,” says the 29-year-old.
Hailey, who shares one son Jack Blue with husband Justin Bieber, notes, “Our words are important.”
The founder recalls that $1 billion was her absolute baseline for the sale, as she tells the outlet, “I was like, 'It has to be this number. I will not go for less.' It was a goal.”
“That was the line I drew in the sand and the goal that I set,” remarks the model.
Hailey further says that it’s important to her for Rhode to feel accessible and inclusive to everyone.
“I know when brands, when they get really hyped, it can feel kind of like it's this club that you don't get to be a part of,” mentions the model.
Hailey adds, “I always want people to be able to have access to it. I want to continue to take feedback and make the brand better. That's what I think having a great brand is: you listen to your customer and you listen to your consumer.”
