Megan Thee Stallion unveils ‘crazy’ struggle with rap persona

Megan Thee Stallion is giving the scoop on the two different versions of herself, her rap persona and the way she is otherwise.

The Mamushi rapper’s real name is Megan Pete, and she has opened up about learning to keep her personal and professional lives separate.

In an interview with Entrepreneur, the actress stated "I feel like I had to learn how to separate Megan Pete and Megan Thee Stallion.”

Megan recalled feeling like her work life was bleeding into her real one and that people would treat her differently because of it.

"I was Megan Thee Stallion all the time. I was on all the time. And people treated me that way. Like, even people that had known me for so long in my life, they no longer treated me like the Megan that they grew up with. They started treating me like Megan Thee Stallion," she stated.

"And I didn't like that. I'm like, 'This is so crazy. You know me, so why are we sitting here and you're recording everything I do? Or why are we talking about other famous people all the time?' It was hard for me to experience,” Megan added.

The Hiss rapper said that she then learned to distinguish between those who were going to be in her life long term versus the people with whom her interactions were purely transactional.
