Ed Sheeran has opened up about a recent health struggle while also sharing updates from a new phase in his personal and professional life.
Taking to his official Instagram account on Tuesday, April 28, the 35-year-old singer shared that he had recently been dealing with shingles.
He penned, “I've had shingles for the last month, wouldn't recommend it, but on the mend now.”
Alongside the health update, the the Grammy-winning singer also debuted a shaved head, explaining the transformation was symbolic, saying,
“I wanted to shave it to signify a fresh start. I love it, thinking of keeping it this way.”
Despite the difficult month, the global hitmaker appears ready to return to the stage, as he mentioned,
“Restarting the Loop tour in a week and a bit. Can't wait to get back cracking on that, see you lovely people there.”
Meanwhile, the singer is gearing up to get back on stage in Santo Domingo after a short hiatus, marking the start of the Latin American run of his Loop Tour.
As he revealed, “More Latam dates. So so excited for that. Mexico, Brazil, Paraguay, Argentina, Chile. So excited to come back and play for you there, some of my fav countries and cities to play shows in, it's been too long.”
It is pertinent to mention that the singer’s latest album Play was released last year.
