Rihanna 'breaks' silence on R9 album delay after Billie Eilish insists

Billie Eilish became one of the biggest fans of Rihanna as she mentioned her during recent interview, raising eyebrows.

After the 24-year-old had a full-circle moment at the Coachella with Justin Bieber, the musician shared her opinions on Rihanna and her music.

During her interview with ELLE, the BLUE crooner shared that if the Diamonds hitmaker “ever f**king makes R9, then I’m excited for that!”

Although the Grammy winner did not respond directly, her lingerie brand dropped a major hint about the studio record in the comments on an Instagram video.

The official account penned down: “R9 will be worth the wait, trust,” adding to the anticipation and bringing back hope amongst fans.

Admirers are convinced that this close to an official announcement and they are finally getting the studio record after a delay of nearly 10 years.

One of the X users demanded that she must drop “double album, 30 songs MINIMUM! No songs under 4 minutes.”

However, few are still doubting the comment as a user shared that they “don’t believe them anymore riri has been saying she’s releasing a new album for the last 10 years.”

Why did Rihanna delay album?

It is speculated that the new project continues to face delays because of her recurrent pregnancies. 

The icon recently gave birth to her and ASAP Rocky daughter Rocki.
