Judy Greer is reflecting on an incident from her early days in Hollywood in which Matthew McConaughey did something kid for her.
The Love & Other Drugs actress recalled her role in the 2001 romantic comedy, The Wedding Planner, and how she was not yet financially stable when she landed the film.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight the 50-year-old stated of the Interstellar star, “The thing I remember about that movie was how lovely [he] was. I loved seeing him in hair and makeup every morning, 'cause he had, like, pajamas on and a Yerba Mate.”
Judy added that she hasn’t worked with Matthew since the project but that she has a feeling that he hasn’t changed much.
The Jawbreaker actress added that she was “so broke” at the she couldn’t afford to get her car out of a valet service her first time meeting the cast and called her friend Sean Gunn for help using a pay phone at the Roosevelt Hotel.
“Matthew McConaughey overheard me and gave me $20, I was so mortified, but also, like, 'My hero.'” Judy stated.
Notably, The Wedding Planner celebrates its 25th anniversary this year and the author commented that she was not expecting the movie to be as big a deal as it would go on to be.
