Natalie Portman has confirmed she is pregnant with baby number three, opening up about why this journey feels different.
The 44-year-old actor shared the news in chat with Harper’s Bazaar on April 17, revealing she will be welcoming a baby with her partner, Tanguy Destable.
Calling the journey a “privilege” and a “miracle,” she said the couple is “very excited,” marking a deeply personal milestone.
She already shares two children, Aleph and Amalia, with former husband Benjamin Millepied, and says this time feels more certain and intentional.
“There is a gratitude that when you’re young, you don’t necessarily grasp,” she added.
“And there’s a calm and knowing myself: who I want to spend time with, what kind of energy I want around me that makes the experience so beautiful every day. And knowing it’s probably the last time, I cherish every moment.”
Spending time in Paris, she also joked about the timeline, noting that full term pregnancy there is considered 41 weeks, “so I guess I get an extra week to be pregnant this time around.”
Focusing on simple routines, Portman shared she feels strong and energized, with cravings for pineapple and melon.
Staying active through swimming and Gyrotonics, she is also tuning out online noise, choosing instead to trust her instincts.
As she put it, “It’s okay. You figure it out… I feel like if you’re just present and loving, that’s the best thing possible.”
