Zayn Malik breaks silence on secret health battle from hospital bed

Zayn Malik has sent fans into a frenzy with his emotional health update.

The 33-year-old singer posted an Instagram story showing himself on hospital bed. In the message, he thanked admirers, still supporting him through his recovery.

The father-of-one noted that his retrieval is taking up longer than expected. 

"Thank you to all of you for your love & support now & always been a long week and am still unexpectedly recovering," he penned.

"Heartbroken that I can't see you all this week, I wouldn't be in the place I am today without you guys and am so thankful for your understanding."

Malik was thankful to his medical team as well. "Thank you to the incredible hospital staff of Drs, nurses, cardiologist, management, admin and everyone who has helped along the way and continue to. You are all legends!"

He concluded his post, "Big big love xx."

The ex-One Direction member did not disclose what condition he had and what he has been through. 

His fifth studio album, Konnakol, came out on April 17.

Recently, he was forced to cancel his event in London due to his health condition.
