Ice Spice, born Isis Naija Gaston, has finally broken her silence to address the situation that unfolded at McDonalds.
The 26-year-old rapper was slapped when she hung out with her friend at a food place on April 15.
In a video shared on X by the Barbie World hitmaker, she can be seen embroiled in an altercation when a woman jogged in and asked to join them on their table.
She penned down a response that was deemed witty, noting: “This wouldn’t happen at a Wendy’s.”
While many were left confused if she is pitting the two food chains against each other, it is to be noted that Ice has a partnership with the famous fast food chain.
One of the X users was left disappointed at the remark in the tweet to which another netizen suspected: “This was to promote her upcoming Wendy’s collabotion.
It remains unclear if the fight was just a marketing move after clip circulated everywhere on the internet.
Previously, her lawyer addressed the incident and called it an “unprovoked attack” on the rapper as she can be seen asking the person to leave while pointing at the door.
After the altercation turned physical, the two were filmed outside of the restaurant, bickering as people nearby try to diffuse the situation.
