Jenna Ortega had much higher ambitions than being the star of Netflix series, Wednesday,
Previously, the 23-year-old American actress aspired to be on a different stage, the White House.
In a surprisingly on-brand childhood dream, the star was on Big Bro with Kid Cudi, and she disclosed her politics dream.
Notably, the ambition was not a mere amateurs, but an all out "future president" enthusiasm.
She went on to explain, "When I was 6, I was really into politics, and Obama got inaugurated that year."
"So I would write him letters, 'Hey, love your work. Can I come to the White House?' ... and he never responded," she referred to former President Barack Obama, who was inaugurated the same year.
Initially, she believed that it was a childhood crush. "But I just wanted his job. Like I wanted to go to the White House to get an understanding of okay, the Oval Office is going to be my space," she added.
She name-dropped Oprah Winfrey, just in case, and said, "And then I started writing Oprah because I saw a photo of them together in a magazine and I was like, 'Hey Oprah, I know you know Obama... he's not getting back to me,'"
Although her presidential campaign was never launched, Hollywood certainly worked out.
Ortega started making appearances in Jane the Virgin and Stuck in the Middle by the time she was 12 years old.
She later portrayed the titular character in Netflix series Wednesday, and was nominated for Golden Globe and Emmy awards.
