Dakota and Elle Fanning have gushed over each other a number of times, and the former is adding to the instances of sweet words exchanged between them by wishing the latter a happy birthday.

The Maleficent actress turned 28 on April 9, and to celebrate the moment the Uptown Girls star took to her Instagram to pen a sweet tribute.

Alongside a black and white photo of the duo at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party 2026, the 32-year-old wrote about just how much she loves her younger sister.

Dakota said in the caption, “will always be one of the first, and greatest loves of my life. happy birthday @ellefanning thank you for sneaking B12 into the tea that you make me. i love you more than could be imagined.”

Elle could be spotted responding in the comments with a series of six red hearts, as netizens also joined in on the celebration.

The Sentimental Value star took to her own platform to share a throwback video from a birthday surprise that happened last year on the set of Margo's Got Money Troubles, her latest project.

Notably, the late twenties icon could be seen walking in with a fake baby in her hands when the cast and crew sang her Happy Birthday and celebrated with a cake.
