Ray Stevens has been hospitalized after suffering a broken neck in a recent fall, sparking concern among fans just days before his upcoming album release.

The 87-year-old singer reportedly fell at his home in Nashville on March 29 and was briefly admitted to hospital for treatment.

Medical professionals later confirmed that Stevens sustained a neck fracture and has been advised to wear a brace for several weeks as part of his recovery.

Despite the severity of the injury, he is said to be in good spirits and remains mobile while recuperating at home.

According to Daily Mail, the incident comes at a crucial time for the veteran performer, whose new album Favorites Old & New is scheduled for release on April 10.

Moreover, the project features a mix of classic tracks alongside fresh material, marking another milestone in Stevens’ decades-long career.

This latest health scare follows a challenging year for the star.

In 2025, Stevens experienced a mild heart attack and underwent medical procedures to address underlying issues, forcing him to cancel several appearances at the time.

Despite these setbacks, Stevens has continued to engage with fans and remain active in the music industry.

As per the outlet, his team has reassured supporters that the album rollout will proceed as planned, signaling his determination to push forward professionally while recovering.
