Lil Tjay was arrested in Florida on a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct following an altercation linked to the recent shooting of fellow artist Offset.

Authorities confirmed the incident took place outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, where a fight reportedly broke out shortly before gunfire erupted.

According to police, Lil Tjay, whose real name is Tione Jayden Merritt, was taken into custody and booked into Broward County Jail.

He is currently being held on a bond of approximately $500. Officials stated that the arrest was related to disorderly conduct during the altercation, not the shooting itself.

As per the Daily Mail, Offset, a former member of the rap group Migos, sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the shooting and was taken to hospital, where he remains in stable condition.

Moreover, authorities have not yet identified the shooter, and investigations are ongoing to determine who was responsible.

Lil Tjay’s legal team has strongly denied any involvement in the shooting, calling circulating claims “false” and urging the public to avoid spreading unverified rumors.

His attorney emphasized that the rapper has not been charged in connection with any firearm-related offense.

The incident has drawn widespread attention due to the artists’ previously reported tensions, while also raising concerns over ongoing violence in the music industry.

Furthermore, police say the situation was quickly contained, and there is no further threat to the public as inquiries continue.
