Cheryl Ladd reveals secret breast cancer battle since 2002

Cheryl Ladd opened up about her decades long Breast cancer journey publicly as she underwent lumpectomy and radiotherapy in 2002.

The veteran American singer who has been healthy ever since had a aggressive type of growth.

The 74-year-old Charlie's Angels star, in a panel discussion had a conversation about the battle in Los Angeles on Monday.

Alongside her former co-stars Kate Jackson and Jaclyn Smith, the actress credited her doctors and husband who stood by her side during treatment.

"I was bald. It was a humbling experience and yet I have a wonderful husband… he was there for me at every turn," she recounted.

However, she noted, "Eventually I started to get little sprouts of hair. It was a long, long, hard road, but you just get on with it." 

The Think It Over crooner remained quiet about her diagnosis because her co-stars were all affected.

Jackson suffered with breast cancer in 1987 and again in 1989. Notably, Farrah Fawcett succumbed to anal cancer in 2009.

Jaclyn Smith immediately eyed her wigs at first thought to send her those, noting "She was so brave," at the time.

Additionally, Ladd stressed to the audience, "If you find a little something in your breasts… do not ignore it."

Charlie's Angels aired for five seasons from 1976 to 1981.
