BTS members, RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, got together as a group for their special appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

However, their visit to promote Arirang did not come without controversies and backlash from fandom after a comment was deemed highly racist.

While the 51-year-old appeared in high spirits, the MC Seth Herzog faced public scrutiny for his warm-up comic according to reports and fans present in the audience.

It was reported that Seth made a joke about the globally popular singers as he asked: “Anybody here from the North? No? Nobody? seemingly referring to North Korea.

Although he has presumably apologised to the band for the situation that unfolded, fans are not ready to accept the apology yet.

One of the X users slammed the cast of the talk show, writing: “APOLOGY NOT ACCEPTED…. Making racist jokes in 2026 is crazy.”

Another netizen was of the opinion that the pardon did not feel right and demanded on the platform, “We need a proper f**king apology to Botha rings and armys who were mistreated.”

Meanwhile, many Army members are pointing out they need a public statement or a proof that he made it up to the musicians.

On the other hand, the Permission to Dance crooners appeared to be enjoying with Jimmy Fallon during their visit on the show.

They even set up a surprise for many, meeting fans who exited the singing booth.

Is BTS going on a tour?

The Dynamite singers are touring around the world in support of their newly released album ARIRANG.
