Usher has recently revealed why he talks positively about Sean Diddy Combs despite his abuse allegations and conviction charges.

In a latest interview with Forbes The Enterprise Zone, the OMG singer reflected on his decades-long relationship with the Sean, who is currently serving a 50-month prison sentence after found guilty of two prostitution-related charges.

Usher was asked to give one-word response when asked about influential people in his life.

When the Yeah! hit-maker was asked about Sean, Usher replied, “Legacy.”

The American singer noted that the conviction should not take away the legacy he built it over the last few years.

“In many ways, I think certain people are prosecuted and maybe not recognised for the greatness that they offer,” said the 47-year-old.

Usher clarified that he doesn’t have anything negative to say about music mogul because his experience with Sean had been different and not what the world has seen and “how he’s been misrepresented”.

Elsewhere in the interview, the My Boo singer shared that he’s not defending Sean’s alleged cases but Usher believed that his contributions to the music industry should not be forgotten.

“I can't, with any sense of humanity, not recognise the valuable contributions that this man made for us as Black entrepreneurs, for us as businessmen, for us as people who transition culture and ideas into something that's tangible and becomes business,” explained Usher.

Calling Sean his “mentor,” the singer added, “So many people benefited from what he created. And I acknowledge that. And that's why I see him as legacy.”
