Zara Larsson, who is known for her chart-topping hit tracks, landed in hot waters as a reply to a fan resulted in severe consequences.
The 28-year-old singer took to her social media and shared that the abortion joke, which she admits is “very funny,” resulted in her loss of “$3 million dollar deal.”
Despite being called out and a professional loss, the Symphony crooner insisted she still stands by her opinion regarding abortion.
In the video, the musician noted that she is not partner with those who doesn’t “agree with me thinking that women should have access to abortion or” cannot have a light hearted conversation about it.
The Lush Crush singer further clarified: “I don’t give a f**k about it” even if she receives a “million dms,” dragging her on her comments.
The controversy sparked after a fan shared a moment from Zara’s performance in a TikTok video with a text on it that read: “I didn’t know I was pregnant here but at least my baby got to hear Midnight Sun before I aborted it.”
She responded to the clip in the comment section, writing: “I killed the performance and then you killed it after the performance purrrrrrrr.”
The remark was deemed insensitive by many and triggered a widespread backlash on the pop-icon, who rose to fame again because of a viral dolphin trend.
