Zara Larsson, notable for chart-topping hit tracks, sparked a debate online after the songstress passed a remark that was considered insensitive.
The 28-year-old has successfully revived career after memes and TikTok trends brought her back in to spotlight.
However, many fans were left disappointed after her latest move.
An admirer, who attended Zara's show, shared a video from the Lush Life crooner’s concert which caught the pop icon's attention.
The TikTok user wrote on the video: “I didn’t know I was pregnant here but at least my baby got to hear midnight sun before I aborted it.”
Zara reportedly replied to the video on the platform, penning down a witty comment: “I killed the performance and then you killed it after the performance purrrrrrrr.”
Although the remark was acknowledged by the author, the songstress was called out by the online community with one X user labelling her: “What a selfish evil b***h!!!!”
Another netizen was of the opinion that this was “sick” as “millions of young girls r influenced by likes of her,” while a third questioned: “Wth is wrong with these people?”
Zara is yet to respond to the online scrutiny, however, the singer continues her tour of the United States to support her fifth album Midnight Sun.
With her new studio record, the Ain’t My Fault singer embraced the Y2K vibes, bringing back her colourful dance vibes with her confident rebranding.
