Steven Spielberg is opening up about what he thinks about aliens and if he believes they exist or not, nodding to one of his films.
The three-time Academy Award winner is siding with figures such as Barack Obama with his admission that he made during the SXSW Film & TV Festival in Austin a while ago.
“I don’t know any more than any of you do, but I have a very strong suspicion that we are not alone here on Earth right now, I made a movie about that,” Spielberg stated.
The filmmaker revealed that his upcoming film, Disclosure Day, was somewhat inspired by the former President’s belief in aliens.
“He stepped back to say what he believed was life in the cosmos, which, of course, everybody should believe in. No one should really think that we are the only intelligent civilization in the entire universe. The big question is, are we alone now?” Spielberg added.
The 79-year-old further explained that he has always had a fascination with inexplicable things and was certain since he was young that life exists off of Earth.
Spielberg took his 13-year-old granddaughter Poppy as his date to the 2026 Academy Awards.
