Callie Cooke makes waves with Keanu Reeves in Warner Bros action epic

Callie Cooke is making a splash in Hollywood.

The 32-year-old actress, best known for her role as pit crew member Jodie in F1, has joined Keanu Reeves in Warner Bros.’ untitled new action thriller, set for release in August 2027.

The film, directed by Deadpool’s Tim Miller, is currently shooting water-bound sequences in the Dominican Republic before heading to the UK. 

Callie will play the female lead, a scientist, opposite Reeves’ smuggler trapped in a deadly Caribbean time loop. 

Expect high-octane thrills, hostile mercenaries, and also bloodthirsty sharks. 

Nicholas Duvernay, Steven Waddington, Abraham Popoola, Bobby Holland Hanton, and Anastasia Safonov round out the cast.

Callie described her experience making F1 as “magical,” telling Wonderland magazine that working alongside stars like Brad Pitt and Javier Bardem “set the bar for how a workplace should be.” 

She added, “There wasn’t a single bit of ego in that room. Every day was pretty special, but race days brought us together in a really unique way.”

More than just glamour, she hopes her new role will inspire girls to break into male-dominated arenas. 

“Jodie is the only woman in the pit crew,” she explained. 

“She goes on a real journey coping with anxieties and stresses. Learning from women like Ruth Bascombe and Bernie Collins was an absolute honour. If I can inspire one girl to get involved in Formula One, that’s special to me.”
