Priyanka Chopra ditches doubles to take on high-seas stunts

Priyanka Chopra Jonas is swapping red carpets for the high seas and she’s doing it with her own two hands. 

The 43-year-old actress revealed she performed most of her stunts in her new Amazon Prime movie, The Bluff, admitting it felt “weird” to hide her face during action sequences.

The film sees Priyanka as a determined former pirate, hell-bent on protecting her son at all costs. 

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, she explained: “This movie required my face to be on camera a lot… I do enjoy it when I’m watching an action movie and I can see the actor’s face while they’re doing it. It’s strange when you’re trying to hide it.”

The Quantico actress, who has been tackling action since the early days of her career, said her faith in the stunt team made the dangerous sequences feel manageable. 

Of course, not every death-defying moment was hers to perform. 

Some stunts were too risky or scheduling didn’t allow, but Baywatch star left those decisions to her skilled team. 

She also highlighted why so many actors are keen to take on their own stunts as it keeps the continuity of their performance and ensures every glance, every movement, matches the character.

The Bluff hits Amazon Prime Video on February 25, and with Priyanka at the helm, audiences can expect thrills, drama, and a mother-pirate like no other.
