Zara Larsson explains abortion joke after causing rift on social media

Zara Larsson is opening up about the comment she left under a fan’s social media account, with an explanation.

The Stateside collaborator has basically doubled down on the internet user making light of abortion, as they noted in the caption of their post that they were unaware that they were pregnant during the pop star’s concert but at least the baby got to hear midnight sun before it was aborted.

“I killed the performance and then you killed it after the performance purrrrrr,” the Swedish singer had written under the post.

Zara backed her remark in the new video addressing the outrage over the comment, saying that she found it funny.

The Lush Life singer then went on to explain that she wants to have a conversation with pro-choice people who considered the termination to be a serious topic.

“I just wanna know why that is, why do you feel like abortion is only okay when it’s a very hard decision, when it’s something that women have to struggle with going through, when it’s like emotionally or physically painful?” Zara said.

The Symphony hit maker noted that she feels like joking about things that are taboo or taken seriously opens it up to more discussion.
