At the ceremony, the Hollywood A-list star debuted a massive transformation with his long hair and an apparent facial surgery.
Although the Bruce Almighty star was all smiles at the event, netizens debated about his change in appearance.
One of the X uses speculated that he has been swapped with a clone, writing: “Jim Carrey’s always had brown eyes prominent brown eyes.”
Another was disappointed, writing: “I’m no conspiracy theorist but that’s not Jim Carrey,” while a third user was of the opinion that the star “hasn’t been in the public eye for a while.”
This came after the internet went wild over theories regarding Selena Gomez as they compared her looks and appearances with those from 2010s.
