Timothée Chalamet is once again facing online scrutiny for a statement he made, this time involving his girlfriend Kylie Jenner.
The Beautiful Boy actor was made to recall one of his birthdays by Matthew McConaughey since the duo came together for an event.
During Variety and CNN’s town hall event at the University of Texas at Austin, which connected the Interstellar co-stars, the Academy Award winner spilled on an instance the 30-year-old actor was not expecting to be shared.
Matthew revealed that Timothée’s girlfriend set him up a screening of the film on his birthday, after the latter said he had seen it more than 20 times.
“This is true, for my last birthday. "I was grumpy on the way there, because I didn't know where she was taking me at. It's my birthday. Why are we driving 30 minutes outside L.A.? I got to the theatre, it was Interstellar in IMAX,” the Dune star stated.
"I said, 'Oh, I'm sorry. I'm sorry I was so grumpy on the drive,’” Timothee added, which is the detail that has landed him in trouble with internet users.
Netizens took to X to write remarks like, “he didn’t even attend her birthday this past year and was “grumpy” she put in the effort to take him somewhere on his birthday.... this is so embarrassing for kylie.”
Another wrote, “bad boyfriend alert mr bad mood on his birthday,” as a third commented “Being an a***ole on your birthday during a surprise..” with a red flag emoji.
Kylie and Timothée began dating in April of 2023, making their relationship a little more than two years old.
