Baz Luhrmann and actor Austin Butler took to the red carpet in Los Angeles on Wednesday evening for the star-studded premiere of EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert, an evocative new film exploring never-before-seen concert material and rare moments from The King of Rock and Roll’s iconic career.

The event at the TCL Chinese Theatre celebrated the release of the documentary-style project, which combines restored footage from Elvis Presley’s Las Vegas residencies in the early 1970s with candid performance scenes, behind-the-scenes reels and personal audio recordings.

According to Daily Mail, pieced together from materials discovered while researching Luhrmann’s acclaimed 2022 biopic Elvis, the film offers fans an immersive look at the performer’s stage presence and creative drive in his prime.

Luhrmann, known for his visually rich storytelling, described EPiC as a cinematic experience that blends concert performances with storytelling elements, giving Presley a powerful voice in recounting his own journey.

Moreover, the project premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in late 2025 and is now rolling out in theaters, including exclusive IMAX screenings.

Butler, who earned widespread acclaim for portraying Presley in the earlier biopic, joined Luhrmann on the red carpet alongside industry personalities and friends.
