Rose McGowan, one of the women in the Hollywood industry who raised her voice against Harvey Weinstein, has made a surprising revelation.

The Scream actress was one of the leading activists of the global Me Too movement and accused the Pulp Fiction producer of sexually assaulting her at the 1997 Sundance Film Festival.

Since over a staggering 80 women had also come forward with instances of abuse they faced at his hands as well, criminal investigations of around six women’s cases were opened against the 73-year-old leading to a conviction.

Harvey is currently serving time after being declared a convicted sex offender, but one of his accusers, Rose is casting doubt on the jail time at Rikers Island in New York City.

In an episode of Paul C Brunson's We Need To Talk podcast, the actress was asked if she feels like justice was served, to which she responded with cynicism.

“I would love to see a picture of him in prison. I suspect he's been in a mansion in Connecticut. That's my theory. I don't know if he's ever spent a day in prison. Hollywood, baby. I don't know, maybe,” the 52-year-old stated.

“I think he was a thug. Not the Mafia boss of the cool kind with the suit, like Marlon Brando, Godfather type, but more like a street way, they calculated that he was thanked more times than God at the Oscars. Harvey Weinstein was their god,” Rose added.

The Brave author opened up about the abuse she endured in 2017, and even received a $100,000 settlement from the film mogul over the matter.

What happened to Harvey Weinstein's wife?

Harvey’s wife Georgina Chapman divorced him after multiple women accused him of rape and sexual assault.
