Jacob Elordi’s simple but significant comment on Artificial Intelligence has received some raised eyebrows from internet users.
The Frankenstein actor has echoed the idea already put forth by a number of actors and directors, about their dislike for the new technology.
In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, the Euphoria actor said, “I just have no interest in it at all, because it’s so f***ing boring […] If it’s your interest, go nuts in your garage; play around, build a robot.
"But as far as I’m concerned, I would much rather kiss on the beach, and read a novel, and be sunburnt,” he added.
The Saltburn actor’s dislike of Artificial Intelligence was praised by a majority of netizens, but others called him out for being performative or misinformed.
One netizen wrote, “I like Jacob Elordi but this is the male equivalent of being a pick me,” as another added, “Why does his opinion matter about AI?”
A third internet user chimed in, “Why do people keep asking questions about tech to non tech people ? They don't know the first thing about math or coding or anything.”
On the flip side, netizens wrote,” totally get it, ai will never replace real moments and feelings,” and, “Man said i choose sunburn and makeouts over robots and honestly, I respect the priorities.”
Jacob has been accused about a radio prank gone wrong, in which he grabbed a reporter by the throat.
