The Pussycat Dolls have marked the American Music Awards this year by taking the stage to perform a handful of their hits, including one with Busta Rhymes.

Nicole Scherzinger, Ashley Roberts and Kimberly Wyatt, who are the newly reunited trio representing the girl group, took the stage in co-ordinated red latex looks, marking their return to the renowned ceremony two decades after their debut.

“AMAs, make some noise,” the 47-year-old said to the audience to kick off their performance, later adding “We’re back!”

The Pussycat Dolls began with their 2006 hit Buttons without Snoop Dogg, followed by When I Grow Up and other tracks before Spliff Star and Busta Rhymes also took the stage to sing Don’t Cha.

“We love you,” Nicole, who had changed into a white hoodie which had the words "don't you wish your girlfriend was hot like me" on it, stated as applause and cheers poured in from the crowd as the musicians closed out the high-powered set.

Notably, the dark-haired member had expressed her excitement about taking the stage with the New York rap legend to outlets beforehand, calling it an honour.
