Demi Lovato and husband Jordan “Jutes” Lutes are proving the honeymoon phase is far from over after the loved-up singer melted fans’ hearts with a gushy anniversary exchange online.
The couple, who tied the knot on May 25 last year, were sadly forced to spend their first wedding anniversary apart because of busy touring schedules, but that didn’t stop them from celebrating their romance in the sweetest way possible.
Taking to Instagram, Jutes shared a string of throwback snaps, including dreamy moments from their wedding day, as he poured his heart out to the pop superstar.
Calling Demi his “soulmate”, the singer-songwriter admitted he somehow loves her “even more” one year into married life.
“Happy one year anniversary to my wifey! It’s crazy to think a year has gone by already… You’re SO clearly my soulmate and the best friend I’ve ever had,” he wrote.
And the 33-year-old singer wasted no time firing back with an equally emotional response.
The Camp Rock actress, who is currently touring across the US, called her husband “the best thing that’s ever happened” to her, before adding: “I love u angel!!!!”
Fans have been swooning over the pair’s romance ever since they first got together, and Demi recently opened up about why their relationship works so well.
Speaking to E! News, the chart-topper revealed she thought the love she felt on her wedding day was the “maximum” possible, only to discover their bond keeps getting stronger with time.
According to the songstress, the secret is simple and that is laughter.
“We stay up late laughing until we’re crying,” she shared, describing married life as “a giant sleepover with your best friend that you happen to be really, really attracted to.”
