Amanda Seyfried slams critics on Charlie Kirk insult

Amanda Seyfried, who disagreed with late politician, Charlie Kirk’s opinion has cleared the air after receiving hate.

The 40-year-old was bashed after she commented “hateful” under a Instagram post, marking Charlie’s assassination, after he was shot at the speaking event in Utah.

Now, in an interview with Who What Wear, Amanda has addressed the haters, who “recontextualised” her words and the situation.

The mother of two stated, "I'm not f**king apologising for that, I mean, for f**k's sake, I commented on one thing. “

The Mamma Mia! star continued, “I said something that was based on actual reality and actual footage and actual quotes. What I said was pretty damn factual, and I'm free to have an opinion, of course."

She also made an post on Instagram where she further explained her stances and revealed, “it was about getting my voice back because I felt like it had been stolen - which is what people do, of course,”

Amanda has also previously addressed that she can have her opinions and even though she never agreed with the late leader’s way of thinking and misogyny, getting shot brutally in front of hundreds is not okay and she will never support that.

The Mean Girls actress described the assassination as “disturbing and deplorable in every way imaginable”.

When did Charlie Kirk died?

Charlie Kirk died on September 10, 2025 at a speaking event at one of the universities in Utah, for his Turning Point USA organisation.
