Charlie Puth was called out after being chosen to be perform the National Anthem at Super Bowl LX along with Brandi Carlile and Coco Jones.
Although the 34-year-old singer is facing backlash himself, Charlie joined other celebrities as he expressed his opinion on the Bad Bunny's Super Bowl Controversy.
The Attention hitmaker took sides in the ongoing debate over the 31-year-old singer’s headline performance by writing a note.
He penned down: “I am very excited to see @badbunnypr perform at the Super Bowl. That is going to be amazing.”
Towards the end of the note, the Grammy nominee confirmed: “I am a big fan…” before sharing perfect clicks of morning and expressing gratitude towards fans.
The Puerto Rican singer also received support from other artists like Jennifer Lopez, Shakira and Bruno Mars, who themselves took over the prestigious stage in the past.
Earlier, Charlie made it clear while responding to the criticism on his upcoming performance: “I’ll never claim to be as good of a singer as Whitney Houston ever was.”
He added an assurance for his fans: “But I assure you we’re putting a really special arrangement together… in D major.”
The See You Again crooner, who earned eight platinum records, revealed: “It’ll be one of my best vocal performances.”
