‘Stranger Things’ Finale Runtime and Theater Screenings Announced

Stranger Things: The Finale is set to deliver its epic conclusion both on screens big and small.

Netflix confirmed Tuesday that the highly anticipated final episode will drop globally on the streaming platform while also playing in select theaters across North America.

The feature-length finale clocks in at two hours and five minutes, giving fans plenty of time to bid farewell to the beloved sci-fi saga.

For those craving the full cinematic experience, screenings will take place in more than 500 theaters across the U.S. and Canada, starting Dec. 31 at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET, coinciding with the Netflix premiere, and continuing through Jan. 1, 2026.

Fans can check out participating cities and theater locations at www.ST5Finale.com and RSVP for seats.

Selected venues will also offer concession vouchers for attendees, ensuring the screenings remain a fan-first experience, with Netflix not earning revenue from the theater showings.

The decision to bring the finale to theaters marks a shift from Netflix’s earlier statements, reversing course after creators Matt and Ross Duffer announced the cinematic screenings in October.

With anticipation at an all-time high, fans are gearing up for a final ride through Hawkins, where mysteries, monsters, and mind-bending twists await.
