Anne Hathaway stars in 'Mother Mary': Chilling first trailer released

Mother Mary is ready to roll in cinemas this April as A24 drops the first trailer of the upcoming thriller, hinting that this one won’t shake off easily.

Described as a “psychosexual pop thriller,” the film comes from director David Lowery and features a powerhouse cast including Anne Hathaway, Michaela Coel, Hunter Schafer, and FKA Twigs.

A24 recently took to Instagram to drop the chilling trailer of the film teasing “Some feuds will haunt you,” hinting at the nature of the plot built around the theme of obsession, fame, and rivalry.

The movie is also supported by an impressive lineup from the production side consisting of original music crafted by Jack Antonoff, Charli XCX, and FKA Twigs. 

Their combination of on-screen and backstage presence is already building a huge excitement among the fans online.

The teaser dropped by A2F showcases a perfect blend of glamour, danger, and a relationship that spirals into something darker as the plot moves forward.

Hathaway stars as a global pop icon, with Coel playing a fiercely ambitious designer who had to cross paths with her. 

It is supposed to hit cinemas in the upcoming spring. The film is predicted to be one of A24’s buzziest releases of the year with its glamorous cast, supreme soundtrack, and eerie vibe.

The movie is set to be released in the United States in April 2026. Although a precise date of release has not been announced yet.
