Gal Gadot recalled surviving the life-threatening “massive” brain clot while she was eight months pregnant with her fourth child.

Recently, the actress was honoured with the Hollywood Icon Award from the Women’s Guild Cedars-Sinai for her efforts to raise women’s health awareness.

The A-list actress addressed the attendees at the prestigious California hospital, saying, “I am here tonight because of you.”

Gadot remembered that during the pregnancy of her fourth child in February 2024, she felt a severe headache that “made the world stop.”

“For three weeks, I tried to push through because that's what we do,” she said, adding that it continued until her mother called from overseas and urged her to get an MRI.

After agreeing to go for testing, she found out the source of her pain. But it didn’t end there, as while they were on the way back home, the doctor called.

The doctor demanded that Gadot return to the hospital instantly, as she had a massive brain clot.

“All I could think was, ‘Am I gonna die? Is this how it feels before you die? Are they going to be able to save me? Is the baby gonna be okay?’” she said.

Gal Gadot recalled how her husband, Jaron Varsano, raced her to Cedars-Sinai, where doctors urgently delivered their daughter, Ori, whose name means “my light.”

She reflected on the life-saving procedure that followed, saying she received two gifts: her newborn in her arms and a second chance at life in her heart.
