David Beckham, who recently became a knight to appreciate the work and charity he has done for the country recalled the moment.

In a candid conversation with People, the 50-year-old opened up about his feelings as he was being knighted by the King Charles on November 4, 2025.

He revealed that rather than being nervous or anxious, the former football player felt excited and emotional.

He further explained how big of a deal it was for him and his family, and seeing his family proud of him made him emotional.

He stated, “it was a very special day for us. It’s a memory I’ll cherish for the rest of my life.”

The athlete was knighted for his service in “sports and charity” at the event, which was held for individuals, who have contributed enormously to the society and was hosted by King Charles at Windsor Castle.

The husband of the fashion designer, Victoria Beckham also titled the week as “emotional” as he received partnership with Verizon FIFA 2026 the same week.

For the special occasion, the father of three wore a custom-made suit as he made an appearance with his wife, and his parents, Ted Beckham and Sandra West.

For the unversed, the special event came after 22 years of him being appointed as the officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE).
