Ariana Grande divides fans after slapping Cynthia Erivo

Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, known for their on-screen chemistry and off-screen friendship, had fans in absolute stitches during a recent cinema screening of Wicked: For Good.

In the movie, the pair’s bond was put to the test when the 32-year-old actress as Glinda discovers her fiancé, Fiyero played by Jonathan Bailey, has secretly been in love with The Outsider actress as Elphaba for years, and shockingly, she feels the same.

The tension quickly took a comedic turn in a moment that had the audience roaring. 

When Glinda finds out, she slaps Elphaba in surprise, to which Elphaba cheekily asks, “Feel better?” 

Glinda responds politely with, “I do,” but things quickly take an unexpected turn.

Elphaba slapped back with perfect timing and deadpanned, “Me too,” sending the cinema into uncontrollable laughter. 

Fans’ giggles and applause echoed through the theatre, turning what should have been a dramatic scene into a comedy highlight.

Social media immediately exploded with reactions. One fan wrote, “Glinda put her soul into that smack,” while another penned, “My cinema started clapping lol.” 

Moviegoers praised the actresses’ impeccable timing and natural rapport.
