It appears that Artificial Intelligence is taking over, and infiltrating creative circles at a rapid pace, as the seemingly AI generated band Breaking Rust earns its first chart-topping hit.

The band does not appear to have any real members, and only has an individual named Aubierre Rivaldo Taylor as the group’s lyricist and composer, and the same person has been using other pseudonyms to create more music made by the technology.

Walk My Walk, which is one of the band’s songs is currently on top of Billboard’s Country Digital Song Sales list.

The singer is speculated to be a computer-generated outlaw blues-country singer with a scruffy voice, and the premise of the hit song is that the man is persevering through his struggles.

Meanwhile, the one-person band is listed as a verified artist on Spotify and has also garnered over millions of listens.

This has stirred controversy and concern among artists and those actually committed to the craft as it is letting their hard work and creativity be overshadowed.

Notably, there are also other bands that have been accused of creating AI generated music and garnered popularity, which has caused a lot of upheaval online.

Are AI songs legal?

Artificial Intelligence copyright laws are still murky, as the technology has advanced very fast.
