Taylor Swift has been mentioned by Backstreet Boys member AJ McLean, and the music industry alums might collaborate live soon.
The boy band has shown a lot of love to content creator Lydia Getachew's mashup of their song Everybody (Backstreet’s Back) with the 14-time Grammy winner’s Elizabeth Taylor by dancing to it on social media, earning enthusiastic reactions on it from the global popstar herself.
In speaking with TMZ, the 47-year-old was asked about who he would want to see perform at the famous sphere in Las Vegas, since the band is performing here as part of their extended Into the Millennium residency.
AJ stated, “"I don't know if she'd ever do it, but I think Taylor [Swift] would absolutely destroy it. She is a fan, and we're a massive fan of hers, I mean, she's the sweetest,” before talking about how nice she has been to his daughters.
"Taylor, if you want, come see the show first, so you know what's going on. And then you can figure out if you want to come up with up with us, we're not going to say no," he continued, directly addressing The Fate of Ophelia singer.
Notably, Taylor actually taking up the offer from the band would be unsurprising since she often collaborates with her favourite musicians, and has been very excited on social media about the Backstreet Boys acknowledging the mashup.
Backstreet Boys is generally considered more well-known compared to NSYNC with its worldwide recognition calculated by taking into account album sales and longevity.
