Jeff Goldblum turns vegetarian after working in ‘Wicked: For Good’
Jeff Golblum says his new role made him rethink animal cruelty
Jeff Goldblum admitted that working in Wicked: For Good gave him the final push towards adopting a meat-free diet.
In a conversation on the show This Morning, the Jurassic Park actor shared that the movie’s focus on animal cruelty deeply moved him.
“After doing this movie, we talked about the animal cruelty,” Goldblum said. “I stopped eating meat and poultry. It’s changed me.”
The 72-year-old star plays the character of the Wizard of Oz in the film, where his role revolves around manipulating and silencing animals for his own good.
The actor added that the film has completely changed him, saying he would like to go for a vegetarian feast this holiday season.
“I’m happy,” he continued. “We need the world to work for everybody on Earth, and every creature too.”
Goldblum also praised Chu’s vision for the musical adaptation: “He’s a master and a genius. He made a masterpiece out of the first one and an even deeper, more relevant, soulful, smart, and riveting entertainment out of this second one.”
Wicked: For Good, featuring icons like singer Ariana Grande, Sexiest Man Alive 2025 Jonathan Bailey, Jeff Goldblum, and more, is set to be released in cinemas on November 21, 2025.
