Travis Barker has come under fire after fans accused him of being ‘controlling’ toward wife Kourtney Kardashian during a recent episode of The Kardashians.
The 49-year-old musician insisted on holding Kourtney’s hand as they ran side by side, despite her repeatedly saying she wasn’t ready.
The reality star had just given birth to their son, Rocky, and told Travis she’d only been running in ‘one or two-minute intervals.’
Once the race began, Kourtney protested: “Babe, are you kidding? I’m not running crazy.”
But the Blink-182 drummer kept a firm grip on her hand, maintaining his pace while she struggled to keep up.
She admitted in a confessional: “Travis just does not let go, so I have to keep up with his pace.”
Fans were quick to slam the scene online, with one TikTok user saying: “She said she didn’t feel up to doing it. That should’ve been the end of the discussion.”
Others called his behaviour a ‘red flag,’ ‘possessive,’ and ‘not sweet,’ pointing out the risk of pushing a postpartum woman to run 30 minutes straight.
Despite the backlash, Kourtney ultimately thanked Barker for motivating her, leaving fans divided over whether the moment was loving encouragement or a worrying display of control.
Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian were first linked in early 2021, and their connection grew serious over the months.
He proposed in October 2021, marking the start of their engagement, which fans eagerly followed.
The couple had a spontaneous civil ceremony on April 3, 2022, followed by a lavish wedding on May 15, 2022.
Less than a year later, on March 14, 2023, they welcomed their first child together, a son named Rocky.
