Ariana Grande announces major new charitable initiative

Ariana Grande has introduced a major new philanthropic initiative with The Brighter Days Ahead Foundation.

On Friday, June 12, the singer shared news of her new initiative on her official Instagram handle.

"I am beyond excited to finally announce the brighter days ahead foundation. Our mission is to support, protect, and provide resources for our vulnerable friends in need," she shared in a statement.

However, the foundation will center its work on LGBTQ+ rights, reproductive healthcare access, mental wellness services, community support, arts learning, and urgent assistance.

"Through four different funds, we will be supporting handfuls of incredible organizations that provide the safe space and care that is desperately needed by so many right now," the 7 Rings hitmaker added.

Moreover, she reflected on her long standing support for these causes.

"It has been my privilege to be able to support these causes on my own over the years, and I’m grateful to now be able to expand that reach and amplify the life-saving work that these organizations do through the brighter days ahead foundation," she noted.

The announcement comes a day after the singer criticised the White House for using her song Bye in an immigration enforcement related social media post.
