Prince William wrapped up his Brazil trip on a high note with an announcement.
The Prince of Wales landed in Brazil on Monday for a busy week ahead full of environmental focused activities.
On Wednesday, the prince attended his Earthshot Awards. Later, on Thursday the prince attended the UN’s COP30 summit for climate change where he gave a landmark speech.
On Friday, the prince ended his trip in the Brazilian city of Belem.
On the way to his last engagement in Belem, the prince stopped by to conduct an impromptu walkabout with locals.
The locals welcomed William with chants of his name.
The trip was ended with a highly important meeting with Indigenous leaders at one of the Amazon’s most historic institutions.
The future king met the Indigenous leaders at the Museu Emilio Goeldi in Belem.
William was warmly welcomed by the president of Brazil’s National Association for Indigenous Peoples, Joenia Wapichana.
“You are the guardians and protectors that we all need to support”, William commented.
The trip was a reflection of William’s activism for the environmental cause to save the planet and fight against climate change crisis.
