Meghan Markle has officially returned to acting, eight years after leaving Hollywood to marry Prince Harry.
The Duchess of Sussex, 44, is reportedly filming a new movie titled Close Personal Friends at Amazon MGM Studios in Pasadena, Los Angeles, marking her first screen role since leaving Suits in 2018.
According to insiders, Meghan will appear as herself in the upcoming film, starring alongside Lily Collins, Brie Larson, Jack Quaid, and Henry Golding.
A studio source told The Sun: “This is a massive moment for Meghan. She’s been swamped with offers, but this one felt right — it’s her gentle way of returning to what she truly loves.”
The source added that Prince Harry is “really supportive” of Meghan’s return, saying: “He just wants her to do whatever brings her joy.”
Close Personal Friends follows two couples, one famous, one not, whose friendship in Santa Barbara spirals into unexpected drama.
