Jonathan Bailey might be one of the hottest stars on the planet right now, but when it comes to online studying, the Wicked actor admits he flunked hard.
The 37-year-old heartthrob, crowned as PEOPLE’s Sexiest Man Alive, confessed that he was kicked out of the Open University after enrolling in nine different courses, and failing to complete most of them.
“I didn’t realise if you didn’t complete them, you get expelled,” he laughed.
“So I didn’t finish my volcanoes and tsunami course, or my Leonardo da Vinci course. I did finish my music one, but by then it was too late.”
Bailey, who has captured everyone’s attention with his stylish looks and his breakout role in Bridgerton, joked that he still hopes to return to his studies one day.
“I want to know what happens with volcanoes!”
Appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, he quipped, “It’s an honour of a lifetime — and thank you, Jimmy, for turning it down so I could be here!”
Reflecting on his whirlwind year, the actor added, “At the start of 2025 I was doing Shakespeare’s Richard II — not exactly a comedy.
The only thing madder than that is being called the Sexiest Man Alive!”
When asked if fame will change him, the Jurassic World Rebirth star laughed: “I f****** hope so!”
