Sean “Diddy” Combs has started a new job in prison, working in the laundry room at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey.

The 55-year-old rap mogul, who recently began serving his 50-month sentence at the Federal Correctional Institution, has reportedly been tasked with washing and drying inmates’ clothes.

Sources told TMZ that the disgraced Bad Boy Records founder will now spend his days folding uniforms instead of making music.

The move comes as a surprise to many, especially after prosecutors revealed during his trial that Diddy relied heavily on assistants for even the simplest tasks, including charging his phone.

The low-security Fort Dix facility is said to offer far better conditions than Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center, where the rapper had complained about harsh treatment before being transferred.

His lawyer had requested the move to ensure access to drug rehabilitation programmes and more family visits.

Earlier this month, Diddy’s friend Charlucci Finney claimed the star was attacked in his sleep, waking up with “a knife to his throat.”

Finney told Daily Mail Online that the terrifying encounter was likely a warning, not an attempted murder.

“Everything is intimidation,” he said. “But Sean’s from Harlem — he’s not going to break.”
