Sia, Dan Bernard make jaw-dropping allegations in custody battle

Sia and her estranged husband Dan Bernard are throwing grave allegations against each other, which raises questions about who should have custody over their son.

The Cheap Thrills singer and the father of her one-year-old son Somersault Wonder or Summi for short opened up pandora’s box after the latter filed for sole custody.

In filings obtained by People, the oncologist wrote, “Sia is an unfit and unreliable parent struggling with substance abuse and addiction, rendering her incapable of providing safe or stable care for Summi.”

Dan added that he was the only reliable parent for the baby boy, since he was healthy, a doctor and had no prior drug or prison history.

The doctor also revealed that the Chandelier singer was secretly hospitalized in September after testing positive for drugs, which is why he should be the caretaker of Summi, requesting $77,245 a month in child support.

Sia has since fired back, claiming that her substance abuse issues are a thing of her past and that she has been sober for a while now, along with accusing Dan of possessing child sexual abuse material.

“Dan’s attempt to weaponize my past sobriety journey … serves no legitimate purpose and is intended only to distort the facts and undermine my credibility,” the songwriter wrote.

The Elastic Heart singer claims that the doctor was being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department and the Department of Child and Family Services and although the case is deemed inconclusive, she still fears for Summi’s safety.
