Beyonce’s mom Tina Knowles reveals Blue Ivy told Rumi to ‘calm down’

Beyonce’s mother, Tina Knowles has revealed what Blue Ivy said to Rumi about her stage presence and performance, since the singer often incorporates her family on stage.

The 8-year-old made her stage debut on the Cowboy Carter Tour with the Listen singer, and her grandmother is dishing a behind-the-scenes moment shared by the young girls.

In a sit down chat at the Sherri Shepherd Show, the author gave some context into the debut saying that the twin was asking for her stage debut for a long time before her mother finally gave in.

Tina then talked about the piece of advice the 13-year-old girl gave to her younger sister, “And listen, she would come out, and the first night, she was so excited. People were making all these crazy comments. And Blue was like, ‘Rumi, you might need to calm it down.”

The 71-year-old added that Rumi did indeed end up taking her elder sister’s advice and switched things up for the nights that followed.

"And I said, ‘What are you going to do tonight?’ Cause I was encouraging her to do a little twirl or wink or whatever. And she said, ‘Be myself.’ So she was! It was really good for her confidence,” Tina recalled of her conversation with the little one.
