Angela Bassett turned heads and stole the spotlight at Vogue World: Hollywood, dazzling fans in her iconic Black Panther gown.
The 67-year-old Academy Award-winning actress strutted down the Paramount Pictures Studios runway in the regal purple ensemble famously worn by her character, Queen Ramonda, in the Marvel hit.
The outfit, designed by the legendary Ruth E. Carter, is more than just a costume, it's a symbol of royalty and the Afrofuturist culture of Wakanda, the fictional African nation celebrated in the films.
Carter, who made history as the first Black costume designer to win an Oscar for her work on Black Panther, later scooped another Academy Award for the sequel, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
Fans went wild as Bassett channelled her on-screen majesty once more.
Despite her character’s death in the sequel, whispers of a possible return in Black Panther 3, set for 2028, have sent Marvel fans into a frenzy.
Speaking to Good Morning America, she hinted at the possibility, saying, “That would be wonderful. I could be there. You know? It could happen. I would, absolutely.”
