Drake, DJ Akademiks's interaction over birthday snub gets trolled online

Drake and music journalist DJ Akademiks have been friends for a while now, so the singer seems to have been caught a little off guard at not receiving a birthday wish.

The Nokia rapper apparently messaged the live streamer about the snub on October 24, which the latter screenshotted and posted on his own social media platform.

In the post on X (formerly Twitter) the YouTuber showed that the five-time Grammy winner wrote to him "Damn no bday wish from my right hand. Love you big Ak."

Akademiks responded wo the text with "More Life my G! U kno we locked in. Let's go up 1 time ! I hope u cherishing these moments fr. U the goat . Enjoy urself bro,” showring Drake with more love in the caption of his post and calling him the greatest of all time.

Internet users quickly took to humbling the famous personalities by noting that the exchange, as well as the fact that the 34-year-old posted it was odd.

“Idk what's cornier, Drake beggin' for a HBD message, Ak glazin' right away when the man he's in love with texts him, the fact that Ak felt the need to share this….” one netizen wrote, adding, “This is cringe at the highest level.”

Another wrote, “any dude hitting you up at 38 mins into his birthday for no birthday wish is wild tho” and a third added, “Grown ass man bothered by another grown man not wishing him happy birthday is wild.”

Akademiks played the role of a a disc jockey for the Rutgers University radio station WRSU-FM until 2013, when he was kicked out.
