American actress June Lockhart passes away at the age of 100
June Lockhart, notable for being one of the industry’s “very favourite moms,” passed away on October 23.
According to reports, a spokesperson Lyle Gregory confirmed that the actress died of natural causes with her daughter June Elizabeth and granddaughter by her side.
Lyle revealed her last moment that she “was very happy up until the very end, reading the New York Times and LA Times every day.”
Focusing on “the news of the day” was one of the most important thing for her.
The Hollywood legend stepped in to the acting world at the age of 13, sharing screen with her parents in A Christmas Carol to play Belinda Cratchit.
However, she rose to fame due to her soothing and gentle voice after playing mother on Lassie, a role which earned her two Emmy nominations in 1959.

Moreover, the Lost In Space performer has been the recipient of two stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for motion picture and television.
She also starred in several other movies including All This, and Too Heaven Too, Sergeant York and She-Wolf of London.
The family requested everyone to extend donations to The Actors Fund, ProPublica and International Hearing Dog, Inc. as a tribute to the departed soul.
