Sarah Ferguson hits back after Queen Camilla snubbed her over childrens book

Sarah Ferguson’s spokesperson has hit back at claims the Duchess-turned-author was dealt a “monumental snub” by Queen Camilla, following the loss of her Duchess of York title.

According to reports, Sarah, who recently dropped her royal title amid Prince Andrew’s ongoing scandal, allegedly approached the Queen about collaborating on her latest children’s book, Flora and Fern: Kindness Along The Way.

However, Daily Mail columnist Ephraim Hardcastle claimed the proposal was “firmly rebuffed” by Camilla, who founded her successful Queen’s Reading Room project in 2021 to promote literacy.

He wrote: “Before being sacked as a Duchess, Sarah Ferguson suffered a monumental snub from Queen Camilla.”

The Queen’s Reading Room, now a charity, celebrates literature and aims to “foster a lifelong love of reading,” according to its website.

But a spokesperson for Sarah dismissed the idea of bad blood, telling reporters that the author remains focused on her writing and philanthropic work.

Sarah, 66, has penned numerous children’s stories and romance novels, with Flora and Fern described as a tale about kindness and community.
